MACHINE OPERATOR / TECHNICIAN – Fiber Technology (3rd Shift open)

We are currently recruiting for a  Machine Operator / Technician who can join our team and hit the ground running. We have an opening on 3rd Shift at this time.

3rd Shift | Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am | Starting pay rate is $20.70 per hour which includes a 15% shift differential (Starting Base Pay: $18 per hour DOE)

Our Operators perform diversified manual and mechanical duties to fully set up and operate various types of drawing, pressing, twisting and tapering machines and perform other related processes.
Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate various glass heating and forming processes and machines
  • Careful execution of highly technical and detailed processes
  • Use precision measuring instruments to make periodic inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications
  • Work closely with engineering to conduct engineering tests, assist in new product development and troubleshoot process problems
  • Perform required documentation, recordkeeping and data entry
  • Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
  • Read and interpret routing sheets to determine required operations and product specifications
  • other similar duties as directed.

Required Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, focused and patient, positively handling and addressing challenges and possess the following experience and talents:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Solid track record of stable work history (1-2 years minimum required)
  • Hands on experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Mechanical skills a plus
  • Ability to handle delicate components
  • Proficient in the use of microscopes and other inspection and measurement tools a plus
  • Visual acuity, fine motor skills and manual dexterity required
  • English language competency (speaking, comprehension, reading and writing) commensurate with the duties
  • Ability to lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation required to work set schedule.
  • Must be able to pass E-Verify, pre-employment background checks and a 9-panel drug test.
Ability to train in 1st shift (6am-2pm) for 3 months required
All new hires for this position are initially placed with CoWorx Staffing Agency for a minimum period of 3 months prior to hire by Incom.
