Description

Paradigm Optics located in Vancouver WA, is a division of Massachusetts based Incom, Inc. We are currently seeking multi-talented individuals to join our Team as Manufacturing Support Technicians on 1st Shifts (6am- 2:30pm | Monday - Friday). Since Paradigm is a small yet growing division, our Technicians have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of tasks. We have created a company that allows people to enjoy the type of work they are doing, the people they are working with, and the feeling that their work has a significant impact. We are looking for the best and brightest talent to support our production, provide our customers with quality products, and assist us in advancing our technology

We are in the process of ramping up our production. Duties will include operating fiberoptic draw towers and assisting in the manufacturing of fiberoptic faceplates. Daily functions will also include general shop operations, laboratory work, and general cleaning. Performance of duties requires manual labor of medium physical exertion and the operation of hand and power tools. The candidate will also assist with a variety of lab and production tasks when required. Required Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will be a goal oriented, detail oriented, focused and patient team player, while positively handling and addressing challenges and possess the following experience and talents:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Solid track record of stable work history

· Curious and innovative

· Ability to learn quickly

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Good mechanical aptitude

· Ability to work and take initiative with minimal supervision

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong and flexible team player

· Medium physical exertion with the ability to lift, carry or move up to 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting, carrying or moving of objects weighing up to 25 pounds

· English language competency (speaking, comprehension, reading and writing) commensurate with the duties

· Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.

  • US Person status may be required

Bonus Skills:

· Basic knowledge of shop/power tools.

· An interest and knowledge of basic science and optics.

· Knowledge of polymers and/or polymer processes.
