RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this position is to drive excellence in execution.  A member of the Incom executive team, this role will own the design and implementation of Incom’s strategic project portfolio, and will ensure projects are completed within budget, scope, time, and to the highest level of quality
  • Drive execution excellence through establishment and management of the full portfolio of Incom strategic projects
  • Work with the project sponsors and engineers to ensure that the project scope and delivery approach/timeline is aligned with the Incom strategy
  • Provide up-to-date and accurate information on overall status against the strategic project portfolio
  • Responsible for the implementation of program/portfolio level tools, templates and analytics
  • Responsible for the establishment and control of a project delivery framework including:
  • Project charter development and approval process sign-off
  • Project mobilization – resource allocation, scheduling and kick-off meetings, team alignment etc.
  • Project planning – facilitate planning sessions, support plan development,provide planning expertise to set out appropriate approach
  • Project reporting – responsible for ensuring project status is clearly reported to the executive team
  • Risk and issue Management - first point of contact for escalation of project risks and issues.Actively identifies and mitigates risks on individual projects and across the portfolio
  • Actively manage dependencies between projects and within other Incom departments -
  • Delivery prioritization – align project delivery with strategic objectives, manage changes in priority and adjust project schedules as needed
  • Project Resource Management - Tracking and management of project resources including resource allocation and capacity balancing
  • Project Closeout - Lessons learned, Measures of success
  • Ability to collaborate with and lead multidisciplinary teams.Leads and develops project engineers and any additional PMO staff
  • Coach and mentor engineering and management resources in project management techniques and capabilities
  • Communication and education of PMO processes, policies, and tools across the organization

    Required Qualifications:
     
  • Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • PMI / PMP certification preferred.
  • Extensive project management experience. Minimum five years’ experience in a senior PMO management role.
  • Proven knowledge of multiple project delivery environments, methodologies and tools. Agile PM skills preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of strategic projects
  • Experience managing resources in a matrix organization
  • Exceptional influencing, leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Project & portfolio management tools and experience
  • Competencies: Results Driven, Solution Focus, Customer Focus, Team Building, Curious and Innovative, Influence and Communication, Strategic Thinking & Vision and  Leadership
