We are currently recruiting for an EXPERIENCED manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic who can join our team and hit the ground running.

Our Mechanics provide skilled trade maintenance support to the manufacturing, R&D Lab, warehouses, and office facilities of Incom. Maintenance department services include manufacturing equipment repair, equipment and facilities preventive and predictive maintenance, HVAC system maintenance, lubrication services, mechanical, general building & grounds maintenance and welding services.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain production equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and complete necessary repairs. Replace components/parts to machinery. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production to minimize downtime. Install safety devices, jigs/fixtures and modify equipment as required. Perform established preventive maintenance procedures and develop necessary new procedures as determined by equipment performance. Rebuild older equipment from the frame up to new operating condition.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of HVAC equipment, facility plumbing and DI water systems.
  • Utilize a CMMS Preventive Maintenance Software to manage the completion of all work orders, repairs and PMP assignments. Review repair records for trending of equipment performance and make necessary recommendations to management to provide production uninterrupted equipment resource.
  • Install, repair and replace vacuum systems in both manufacturing and R&D Operations.
  • Fabricate various parts, jigs and fixtures for machinery. Set up and operate standard machine tools such as lathes, vertical millers, saws and drill presses to fabricate required parts. Perform welding and soldering operations as required.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Provide guidance and training in mechanical maintenance operations to other department members.
  • Support projects and represent Maintenance group on project teams as assigned. Project work may involve reviewing drawings/specifications and providing design or lay out input.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement and development of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Perform receiving duties on deliveries to the dock area as needed, unloading the truck and providing notification to the Shipper-Receiver. Support HazMat removal process as needed, loading boxes and barrels in trucks for transport by vendor.
  • As a member of the Maintenance team periodically assist and perform a variety of grounds maintenance duties including snow removal.

Required Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, focused and patient, positively handling and addressing challenges and possess the following experience and talents:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education, training, certificates and/or licenses a plus.
  • Solid track record of long-term stable work history.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of increasing job knowledge and responsibility in field of mechanics in a manufacturing environment required. High tech manufacturing strongly preferred. This experience must indicate proficiency in all aspects of mechanical maintenance work including the demonstrated ability to work well with others in an industrial work environment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, facility plumbing and DI systems a plus but not required.
  • Expert in the use of all mechanics hand tools and wrenches, measuring devices, power tools including drills, hammer drills, sawzall, etc. must be proficient in the operation of shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and lathes to perform all aspects of equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Advanced understanding of all aspects of mechanics theory and application to mechanical systems in a commercial and/or industrial environment.
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and mechanical repairs and to install mechanical equipment and accessories according to prescribed standards.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently use hand and power tools, ladders, mechanical lifts, shop and other equipment in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to evaluate the use of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions in regard to safety and company standards and policies.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enable the use of the CMMS system
  • Ability to lift and / or move 50lbs or more, spend extended periods of time on feet and work in loud, hot and cold environments.
  • English language competency (speaking, comprehension, reading and writing) commensurate with the duties.
