RESPONSIBILITIES
This individual is responsible for:
  • Shipping finished product to subcontractor or customer, based upon shipping schedule or production requirements as discussed in daily production meeting.
  • Packaging finished products for inventory ensuring proper protection of items as prescribed by department standards, best practice, and/or packaging specifications
  • Receiving, checking and logging incoming shipments ensuring proper quantities and products, verifying shipments to purchase orders.
  • Performing as part of a team communicating with product lines, purchasing, sales, accounting, and management as required.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of and complying with Department of State/Government export regulations for international/licensable shipments.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus five years of related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving.
  • Experience with shipping software (Fedex/UPS).
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to handle complex computer inputs for shipment in carrier's computer system.
  • Able to accurately pull product for shipping orders, use scanning equipment, build boxes, pack boxes quickly and effectively to protect product during shipping
  • Strong communication skills and ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Proven ability to carry out assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Detailed oriented paying close attention to written material and product detail, organized, able to work under pressure, willingness to be flexible and possess good time management skills.
  • Consistent and predictable attendance. Must be willing to work overtime to finish receiving or shipping of each day's scheduled product.
  • Experience with export regulations for international / licensable shipments strongly preferred.
  • Experience packaging and handling glass products a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of a tape measure, dial caliper, and micrometer a plus.
