Incom, Inc. a high tech fused fiber optics manufacturer in Charlton, MA is currently seeking a talented, fun, dynamic Systems Administrator. Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the primary function of this position will be the administration and maintenance of all computer related systems including, but not limited to, servers, desktops, switches, phone systems, wired/wireless networks and overall network security.  This position works in support of all departments providing technical expertise and knowledge in alignment with defined company goals.   Secondary responsibilities include best practice recommendations, troubleshooting, end user training, hardware maintenance and general helpdesk duties.
 
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of the talents listed below with a passion for learning a wide variety of skills while expanding their IT expertise.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Server configuration, administration, maintenance and performance monitoring
  • SAN management administration, maintenance and performance monitoring
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop OS platforms
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • Firewall administration and maintenance
  • Backup administration and maintenance
  • Desktop/laptop/tablet/phone setup, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of systems and networks
  • Print server administration, configuration and maintenance

Requirements:  
 
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability adapt, learn and multitask in a high energy environment
  • Ability to work on a team as well as independently
  • Professional image in attitude, conduct and attire
Additional experience in the following areas are not required, but are a plus:
 
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies
  • Familiarity with VOIP phone systems
  • Understanding of programming with Microsoft Visual Studio
