Incom is ramping up production of our polymer division which specializes in drawn fiberoptic polymer products. We are seeking multi-talented individuals to join our Team as Manufacturing Technicians (1st and 2nd shift schedules are available).

Incom’s Vancouver WA location is a research and production team specializing in polymer fiberoptic faceplates and other drawn polymer products. We are growing and ramping up our production and need multi-talented individuals to join our Team as Manufacturing Technicians (1st and 2nd shift schedules are available).

Our Techs enjoy the work they are doing, the people they are working with and the feeling that their work has a significant impact. We are looking for the best and brightest talent to support our production, provide our customers with quality products, and assist us in advancing our technology

Our Techs responsibilities include:

  • Perform set-ups and advanced adjustments to fiber optic drawing machines.
  • Assist with engineering studies, runs, and help implement changes for desired results.
  • Enter machine parameters into sophisticated programs used to collect and evaluate operating data.
  • Assist with troubleshooting non-conformances found in the process.
  • Assembly of a variety of polymer sub-assemblies as well as finished assemblies.
Secondary duties will include other shop operations including QA lab analysis and general equipment maintenance. Performance of duties requires manual labor of medium physical exertion and the operation of hand and power tools.

Required Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will be a goal oriented, detail oriented, focused and patient team player, while positively handling and addressing challenges. We require the following experience and talents:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous related manufacturing experience a plus
  • Solid track record of stable work history
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Good grasp of mathematical concepts
  • Curious and innovative
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong and flexible team player
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry or move objects weighing up to 50lbs pounds and periodically up to 70lbs.
  • English language competency (speaking, comprehension, reading and writing) commensurate with the duties

Bonus Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of shop/power tools.
  • An interest and knowledge of basic science and optics.
  • Knowledge of polymers and/or polymer processes.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting pay rate $16.00 and up per hour for 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm) and $17.60 for 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). We offer our team members a generous benefit package, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, short term disability, Life Insurance, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) retirement savings plan.
