RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for the daily oversight and direction of their Product Line functions and assigned personnel.
This individual is responsible for:
  • Providing team leadership for the Medical Product Line to include coaching, oversight and management of team members and key department activities 
  • Providing technical support for day-to-day issues of their Product Line, both hands-on and as a trouble-shooter and problem-solver.
  • Responding to operational or process problems and assist in resolution.
  • Learning and developing the knowledge and skills to perform all area processes in order to contribute to personnel training, upkeep of area documentation and fill-in in areas of need.
  • Assuming responsibility for various tasks and functions in the absence of shift employees, or in overload situations.
  • Maintaining and keeping abreast of daily, weekly and other periodic productivity and yield data for the Line, compile productivity and yield data and prepare reports as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors Degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on technical experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Minimum 3 years Leadership/Supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work both “hands-on” as a leader on a production team.
  • Hands-on practical experience with continuous improvement projects and activities.
  • Experience with applying lean techniques in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on background and experience in the forming and finishing of glass or metal parts a plus
  • Proven team player with excellent people skills, ability to motivate and work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, meeting deadlines on time and under pressure. 
  • Demonstrated history of thriving in a dynamic, results driven work environment
  • Strong passion for detail, excellent process management skills, excellent team facilitation skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Glass/Ceramic machining background a plus.
